On September 3, 2026, a 35-member delegation of students, alumni, university representatives and other participants from the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) in Pakistan visited Plus W Inc.’s Shibuya office. We hosted an exchange session to deepen participants’ understanding of development work in Japan and careers with Japanese companies.

Executive Vice President Takashi Horiuchi introduced our initiatives connecting Japan and Pakistan through skills development and employment support. Tsuchiya, Head of IT Development, presented examples of AI development and discussed communication with clients. Advisor Kimihide Ando drew on his many years of experience, including his time working in Pakistan, to discuss Japanese workplace practices and considerations when working across cultures.

Abdul Ahad, a Plus W engineer from Pakistan, shared his experiences of development work and daily life in Japan. The session also featured a video message from IoBM graduate Taimoor Khan, who contributes to our development projects from Pakistan. Participants asked about AI development, learning Japanese and roles in which they could apply their experience.

We have continued our exchanges with IoBM since our visit to the university in December 2022. We will keep building on our university relationships to connect learning with employment and expand opportunities for people in Japan and Pakistan to work together.
